Another year off
With apologies, I will not be able to organize the Blogathon this year. I have very good, very personal reasons for this. There is still a possibility of other organizers stepping in, and we'll let you know if that happens. I hope to be back on board next year.

And other schwag. In fact, it may be that I just now ordered my Blogathon 2007 goodies. Yeah, I'm always late like that. The 2007 designs will stay up for quite a while, so toddle on over to the Cafepress store and grab a souvenir of this year's run.

Hey Bloggers--want to be a part of the first Blogathon podcast?
We are working on what we hope will be the first edition of a monthly podcast. In this inaugural recording, we'd like to include a montage of bloggers saying "Thank you" to their sponsors.
If you'd like to participate, record yourself saying "Thank you" (just that--no speeches please) in your native language, and send it to blogathon.org at gmail dot com.

Here we are, the post-Blogathon lull.
Want to stay involved? Here's what's going on:
Help us build next years Blogathon in the forum! We'll be talking about ideas and plans all year.
Want to know when we're open for signups in 2008? Sign up for the mailing list. I do try to get regular mailings out during the year--about once a month--but usually, it's just the announcement mailer. This year it helped a lot of folks remember to get signed up! Our spam policy: DIE SPAMMERS. So no, we won't sell anything, ever. If you have received spam from Blogathon.org, it's because we're a popular website, and spammers fake blogathon.org as a return address--it isn't us. We would never spam!
We have big ideas going forward. We're hoping to post a monthly podcast, stories from bloggers, and lots of other things during the off-season. Stay tuned!

Check your junk mail folder!
Every year it happens. Doesn't matter how we send thousands of emails, just the act of doing so lands us in the spam heap for some folks. So please, be sure to check your spam folder for sponsor emails. They will say blogathon.org, and may also say cornerhost on them, as that's the server we sent from.

Sponsor instructions will go out shortly thereafter.
Bloggers: if you haven't updated your Sponsor Message, get that done. This message will go out with the sponsor instructions, and it's the place to include a thank you, or any special instructions required for your charity. Be aware that sponsors will be instructed to contact their bloggers with any donation questions.
